Establishment (Foundation Date, General Structure of the Program)
Çankırı Karatekin University, Çerkeş Vocational School was opened in 2015, the Department of Materials and Materials Processing Technologies, Industrial Glass and Ceramics Program was the first department approved by YÖK.
Education and Training started education in 2016-2017 academic year. Our program is within the scope of formal education and the language of education is Turkish. In the program, intermediate staff is trained for the developing glass and ceramic industry. In the industry, there is a need for trained technicians trained in accordance with the latest technological developments between ceramic engineers and unskilled personnel. Industrial Glass and Ceramic Department responds to this need. Industrial Glass and Ceramic Technician, who follows the technological developments in the ceramic and glass industry, has a business discipline and can use the relevant tools and materials, will increase the quality and capacity in ensuring the continuity of production by filling the gap between engineers and unskilled personnel.

Acceptance and Registration Conditions
Placement of the graduates of the relevant Vocational and Technical secondary education institution determined in accordance with the 45th article of the law numbered 2547 as a result of the Student Selection Exam held throughout the country.
Rules for Recognition of Prior Learning
In order to register without an exam, he / she must graduate from Vocational and Technical secondary education institutions specified in Article 45 of Law No. 2547.
In Turkey and abroad in higher education institutions from Çankırı Karatekin University For students wishing to transfer to Higher Education Institutions and Bachelors Degree Level Between Programs in Transition, double major international institutions with minor Transfer of Credit to our university with the Regulation on the Principles relating to transfer set by the Senate Assessment Conditions apply .
Horizontal Transfer Quotas are announced by the Higher Education Council. Evaluation is; It is made by the commissions formed in faculties and colleges and announced by the relevant committees.
Qualification Requirements and Rules
This degree is awarded to students who have completed all the courses in the curriculum in at least 2 years, successfully completed their internship, provided a minimum of 120 ECTS credits and a GPA of at least 2.00 / 4.00.
Program Profile (Purpose of the Program, Structure of the Program, Areas of Orientation, Departmental Facilities)
The student quota for the industrial glass and ceramics department will be determined as 16 each year. In the first year of their education, students take departmental courses as well as basic courses. In their second year, they take lessons to fully increase their industrial knowledge. In addition, they have the opportunity to apply and analyze the theoretical knowledge learned in practice at the first and second years. In addition to the courses focused on industrial and technology, it is given in the courses related to ceramic design and application in order to develop students` personal skills and reveal their creativity. In these lessons, students learn the definition of art, artistic and creative thinking, developing forms, and transforming the developed forms into products. Our country is rich in ceramic raw materials. For this reason, the ceramic industry is developed and developing. Brick tile factories, refractory brick factories, porcelain factories, high voltage insulators and electro porcelain factories, sanitary ware factories, ceramic floor and wall coating materials factories produce ceramics. An important part of the produced ceramics are exported.

Employment Profiles of Graduates
Our program graduates are employed in private and public areas as technicians in Ceramic Production Factories, Glass Production factories, Refractory factories, Iron-Steel factories, Ceramic Workshops.
Transition to Higher Degree Programs
Vertical transition of graduates of Vocational Schools to undergraduate programs, which are the continuation of their completed fields; The provisions of the Regulation on Vocational Schools and Open Education Associate Degree Program Graduates` Attendance to Undergraduate Education are applied. Quotas allocated by the university are notified to the ÖSYM. These quotas and conditions announced are announced in the Vertical Transfer Guide prepared by ÖSYM. Placement procedures are carried out centrally by ÖSYM as a result of the Vertical Transfer Exam.
Graduates of Industrial Glass and Ceramics Program can transfer to Materials Science and Engineering, Materials Engineering, Ceramics, Ceramics Engineering, Ceramics Arts and Ceramics and Glass through the Vertical Transfer Exam organized by ÖSYM.
Exams, Measurement and Evaluation
The measurement and evaluation methods applied for each course are defined in the course introduction form prepared by the relevant faculty member / s and included in the information package. The relevant articles of Çankırı Karatekin University Associate Degree, Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulation and Çerkeş Vocational School Teaching and Examination Application Principles are applied regarding the exams and course success grades.
Graduation Conditions
This degree is awarded to students who have completed all the courses in the curriculum in at least 2 years, successfully completed their internship for 30 business days (6 weeks), provide a minimum of 120 ECTS credits, and have a GPA of at least 2.00 / 4.00.
