Çankırı Karatekin University, Çerkeş Vocational School establishment proposal was examined at the General Assembly meeting of Higher Education dated 14/07/2015 and the decision was deemed appropriate in accordance with article 7 / d-2 of the Law numbered 2547 and amended by Law No. 2880, dated 23/07/2015, It was notified to the Rectorate of Çankırı Karatekin University with a letter numbered 41376.

With the decision taken at the Senate meeting of Çankırı Karatekin University Senate on October 21, 2015, it was decided to open 4 programs connected to 3 departments that will support regional development and submit the decision to YÖK. In the evaluation made at the General Assembly of YÖK, it approved the opening of 3 programs in Çerkeş Vocational School.

In the 2016-2017 academic year, students were admitted to the Industrial Glass and Ceramics Program of the Department of Materials and Materials Processing Technologies. Other programs will open in the coming years.
